It has been my pleasure to support the development of Open Fairways from its inception.The earlier and now well-established editions have charted the best of golf in Europe and Asia... so now it's time to celebrate golf in Australia!
Scotland and Ireland are rightly celebrated for their outstanding links courses but, and as this latest addition to Open Fairways' portfolio will testify, there is no shortage of outstanding golf in Asia: for example, Mission Hills
Open Fairways will assist golfers to experience this variety, and in so doing will guide them to every hidden corner of Europe and Asia. Within its directory pages I note there is a good sprinkling of traditional, semi-private clubs, together with a selection of the best new courses built during the last decade or so. I am particularly pleased that Chart Hills - the first golf course I designed in the UK - will now be brought to the attention of a wider audience of discerning golfers.
